back home [hohm]
Benefits to COLD weather: (there aren't many but I came up with a few this morning on my walk to Central Market
1. It's so cold outside that when on a walk you tend to pop into stores you normally wouldn't just to warm up because you have about a 5 minute window of regulated body temperature. Here you may find a surprise goodie, friend or another crappy cold individual. 2. Cooking not only makes the house smell better and feel warmer, but a big bowl of whatever soup is soooooo good. 3. Here is an add-on that just came to mind because a list of 2 is pathetic. You encounter someone that is dealing with the cold successfully. This morning a women standing out in front of market handing out news flyers responded to the typical, How are you? with the nice word, Marvelous! Today it sounded better than ever. Ultimately, good cheer goes a long way in winter! Okay so more appropriately... the things that annoy me in COLD weather: 1. Getting out of the bathtub becomes a great challenge. 2. My nose running is not so fun when you don't have a tissue. It makes me feel like my hygiene is taking a back seat. This is easily comparable to the sweating issue in summer. What is worse... I don't know? 3. Trying to smoke a cigarette. You either fight with gloves or your fingers go numb. 4. Spending the extra money for a tailor because with so many layers I tend to lose shape. TOMORROW GETS ME HIGHER.

Nadelman studied briefly in Warsaw and then visited Munich in 1902 where he became interested in Classical antiquities at the Glyptothek. He lived in Paris from 1904 to 1914, closely involved with the avant-guarde, exhibiting at the Société des Artistes Indépendants and at the Salon d'Automne from 1905 to 1908. His first solo exhibition in 1909 at the Galerie Druet, Paris, revealed a large series of plaster and bronze classical female heads and full-length standing nudes and mannered Cubist drawings; the latter purchased by Leo Stein, who had brought Picasso to Nadelman's studio in 1908.
